What Does “Think Out Here” Really Mean?

outoftheboxWhen we first meet our students, a lot of them ask, ” What does Think Out Here mean?” We respond with, “What do you think it means?”

Well, we’re going to go easy on you today and just tell you.  It means “THINK OUT OF THE BOX”.  Think Out Here is all about that!

We try to go beyond the conventions of tutoring.  Other companies and individuals tutors often come to a student’s house or meet a student at a centre and just teach whatever is on the curriculum.  Think Out Here goes beyond that.

We don’t just tutor.  We mentor and consult.  Students look at us as role models and leaders.  Most of all, our students treat us like friends, and sometimes, even family.  There is a deep mutual respect between Think Out Here tutors and our students.

corneredintheboxNormally, when we first meet our students, they feel ‘cornered’.  They are having trouble in school and they don’t know how to fix it.  With our “thinking-out-of-the-box” method, we are able to give them a new perspective on learning.  We custom each tutorial to our student’s needs, so he or she can get the most out of the time.  We come prepared with special materials to target the problem.  We are great listeners, which is the biggest asset to assessing the issues.  Most importantly, we CARE, so our student’s goals are our goals.  We want to see them relish in their successes because we have helped them build strong habits and confidence through perseverance.

Our methods, at first, might seem unconventional because it seems so relaxed and organic, but over time, our students and their parents come to realize that these methods are what draw out the success.  If Think Out Here merely teaches the way the school does, then there would be not change in the student’s understanding.  The reason he or she isn’t doing well is because he or she can’t follow the teacher’s style.  Showing the student a different way, a way that may be unfamiliar, is the key to breaking through the struggle.

If your child is having a hard time following his or her teacher’s method, then maybe it is time to Think Out Here. To find out what Think Out Here really means , book a tutorial to try a new way of learning.
